What we're about

My Japan Shop is a single, central location for people to get anything they want from Japan, easily, efficiently, and most of all, safely. We are an online store specialising in Anime, Manga and Japanese culture goods, directly from Japan. We offer services of an international quality, primarily to the South African market, but catering to the rest of the world as well. We're also a community hub, and our website's dynamic secondary features are designed to cater specifically for fans of Anime, Manga, and Japanese culture.

When we say ‘Directly from Japan', we mean it!

My Japan Shop has dedicated staff across Japan, continuously purchasing the latest stock, fulfilling customer requests, and keeping up to date on the latest trends. It's because of our inside staff that we're able to get merchandise straight from Akihabara, fashion items from Shinjuku and Harajuku, and a multitude of other goods from regions across Japan.

 
Why we began

In South Africa, there are only a small number of stores that sell Japanese merchandise, and smaller still is the variety that these stores offer. Often, items sold by the stores are in fact not from Japan at all, and mostly come from China, America or Hong Kong. Being massive fans of Otaku culture, we saw a need to bring a broader range of goods into South Africa, in order to grow the industry and support the growing number of fans here.

• Our inventory is constantly being updated with the latest goods, and we are consistently pre-ordering goods that have yet to be released in Japan.
